Flea season

Dr Pemble is fond of teasing clients that; "Flea season on Vancouver Island is early January thru late December!".

​This really is the truth of it, although thankfully fleas *usually* tend to slow down in the winter and then build up again throughout the spring and summer, peaking in October/November.

We'd really like to remind everybody to think about preventive and, in some situations, year round treatment because; for every 1 live, adult flea you find on your pet, there can be up to 100 fleas in varying stages of their life cycle throughout your pet's environment.  Don't despair though, we have a number of product options to both prevent and control fleas that are available for your pets!  Drop by or give us a call and one of our friendly, knowledgeable staff will be happy help you figure out what product best suits your pet's lifestyle.
